Not Our Intention
You would never know
Millions of grains of sand
Sift through the waves
That crash against the shore
As the sun sets along the horizon
Tide rising
Bringing the salty water to the road
The road so many travel
Day in and day out
Even when the water hides the lanes
Making it hard to know where the sides are
Where the road ends and
The sand and rocks begin
Causing wrecks and damage
Unintentionally
Unnecessarily
Using nature as an excuse
But is it the right excuse
Or just our laziness in society
To follow rules and guides
To take care of one another
Knowing that road floods very night
Waiting to take a life
Into chaos and pain

That was well written and powerful. The type of piece that stays a while after reading.
